Too much weight......
What size would you recomend for 70kg rider intermediate? Thanks for your video
Love the rail release
Could you use this board as well for pumpfoiling?
I would go towards the Pace or ideally the Pace SLS for pump foiling. This board has a bit more flex that what you'd be after for this. Keep your eyes peeled in the coming few weeks, there's something else on the way that you might like ;)
how fckn stupid to stick ur tongue out - are you lizard or else?
If the price would be 20-30% less, I'd consider. But now Honu looks better for me. A same class, the same technologies, a same slick and minimalistic l&f, but a price is more attractive. Think about to cut your expenses.
We have some fantastic deals on that will make the Red far more attractive again if you're interested ;)
Excellent information
What shim would recommend for jumping and freestyle? Speed or lift?!
hundred percent
Looks beautiful mate. Are you guys planning on a 2024 one? I used to teach at Rancho do kite and im friends with the owners from clube da prancha
Yes, the team is leaving in a few days!
I have been using this board (6’2) now for 4 months; mostly winging and just starting to paddle & DW; it is a bit chunky to prone but I am going to try it this summer…this is a solid review by Kiterepublic and very accurate. The shape was progressive when it debuted, and then this board was quickly discontinued and is now considered a dated “transition shape” by most vs the current DW long & narrow trend. This shape in a stretched out 6’4 21 105l would be maybe be my ideal for a “foil everything” board, however, this 6’2 board has accelerated my learning curve..it is easy! My guess is the DW shaping trend may pendulum back a bit to this quickly forgotten and bypassed/overlooked mid-length shape….trim it up a bit, slightly more LWL, and it’s timeless. Several other vendor/reviewers back in the fall of 2023 suggested that this board was a funky and oddball experimental shape and to stay away from it, but I think Kiterepublic nailed it, even a year later as I write this…happy with my choice despite all the other racier DW shapes out there right now..
What psi do you pump the voyager boads to ? 15 psi?
Can you add a tail kick pad to thesse boards?
Which bord would you recommend for shallow river use, and some lake use?
Always articulate, smart, clear and spot on. Thank you
This was SO helpful!
How can I get them in the Caribbean???
That's an excellent question... very happy to be flown over as a personal carrier ;) haha. If you email shop@kiterepublic.com.au we're happy to have a look at options, outside of this you may have to hit Scotty up at Smik. Good luck, they're a great wing!!!
Good stuff. Too stiff a wing isn't great so this is brilliant.
brilliant review
Awesome review I have a set of progression wings which I love I've been prone surfing and kite foiling with question is will I be better off with a vyper 130 for kiting vs the 125 progression which I've been using or even the vyper 90 but I'm thinking that may be to small. Will the vyper be better for landing big jumps/turning and whatever kitefoiling I'm doing or I won't see much of a difference also for tow ins to? Thanks
Sorry this was missed. I think you'll be happy with both for kiting however in my mind the Vyper has a few features that make it my preference on the kite. For kiting due to the considerate power you have on tap the glide isn't such a big deal. Both are great here however I love the Vyper 130 under a kite ;)
Loved your interview the best of all on the HA's, you guys seem to spread the stoke!
Right on!
Yewwwe need to give that a fly - new colour schemes are 👌👌👌
So true... yell out, have one you can try ;)
For light wind winging (12 kts) a 70 kg rider weight..would the HA 1080 work ?
do you think they have moved the inserts for the straps or is there a bigger gap between front and back inserts? I upgraded from the 2023 model to the 2024 but still figuring out the best strap position. if I put the straps at the same position I did on the 2023 model it still feels odd. I know the have moved the foil box forward rthough. cheers
Hi!! what do you recommend for stabilizers? thanks in advance
Glide 220 for more low end and glide. Speed 180 for optimum all round performance. 140 for pro level dialled in gear 😉 video very close. You’ll see shortly if you’re subscribed to channel 🤙
Please let the expert speak. Too much interjection from the interviewer
Thanks Robadair... appreciate any constructive feedback ;)
Agree
No red stripe, does this mean it’s not a “performance” line. Is that next in the HA line?
Don't believe this is the case... @armstrongfoils can you shed any light?
My go to is the HA 925 V1 for winging. What size do you recommend for the V2?
Try the 680 & 780 and decide if you're after pushing the envelope (as the 925 did) or you're content with better turning but a little more lift and consistency of the 780. Good luck! If you're around Melbourne hit us up and grab a demo ;)
I’m a kid and I’m 65kg just wanting to switch from the ma1000. what Ha foil do you recommend?
Hey Jedro... is this for prone, winging, what style of riding and conditions etc.? I would suggest for similar efficiency but more glide and rest that the 680-780 will likely be the space, however give me some more info and I'll give you my thoughts. If you're in oz feel free to call the shop and happy to chat ;) Chris
Ah man. So many gold nuggets in this interview. Tiny little bits and pieces of advice that can make a big change. Aidan is SO good at this. 👌
What a legend hey. Loved some really good chats with him over the past few days. P.s. Love your youtube name... yewwww
Thanks man👍, and props to YOU also for firing the right questions at Aidan. Such a good interview…
I also have a very customized packing method since I have to carry everything for 3 hours from London to the nearest beach. I hold the board in one hand (and yes people are staring), gears in a front chest pack, and kite in a backpack.
Perfect if you're no on a plane ;) Love your work and respect your stoke!!!!
So why keep the hyper? Everything on the progression seems to beat them. Even for downwind no one wants to go straight only
High end speed on a wing it has a place. It has that raw, hold on to your hat ability that some people love and foil for. Outside of this I'd suggest the Progression is a no brainer ;) Both great wings!
Looks wonderful! Great video! Looks like you organize a great tour. What’s the location at 2:52?
Thanks, that spot is BGK @Barra Grande :)
Do you really mean "... super high stall speed..."? Wouldn't you want a low stall speed, and high max speed, for a downwind foil? Basically maximum speed range?
Correct... the buzz definitely didn't help me there. Thankyou for your clarification. Indeed I'm talking about low stall speed, being able to rest and sit at low speed. If you're after the 'less buzzed' version and a full rundown make sure you checkout ruclips.net/video/Se1tKI4Y-ZY/видео.htmlsi=X-TcoMr2UTaIIOS-

Not agreed with you, I have the downwinder and is orribile in Sup Foil and in downwinder maybe as a light Wing Foil is ok but is way worse you describe it…..
I'm glad you commented. I've bought a couple of boards and wings based on content creators recommendations and were totally not what they claimed.
Thankyou for your feedback Galagona. I respect your opinion and based on lots of customer feedback as well as testing of a large amount of boards I don't agree, however the beauty of our sports and our many options is that everyone can look for exactly what suits them and strive for 'their version of perfection'. I hope you continue to share the stoke around your beaches and make the most of every opportunity to get out there and enjoy your watertime. Thankyou for getting in touch :)
Sorry to hear that this has happened to you @gary. The beauty of feedback and opinion is they can help guide you in the right direction. I hope everyone shares the same stoke that we do, where if customers touch base with us directly we can work towards exactly what suits them and what they are striving to achieve. Unfortunately it's very difficult to personalize a video too much without this information. Hope you're loving your watertime mate, always happy to touch base and help in any way we can (whether you're purchasing from us or not :) Hope to hear from you soon.
Agree With You ! Really Not Good Shape and not so easy and nice board.
Great video chris
Thanks Craig. Hope you’re loving the Progressions 🙌
I made the shape myself, I guess... 🤣😂🤣😂 He is probably really an al around nice guy as he was announced and not a good liar? Why is the company Naish putting their teamriders thrue this kind of crap? Whats wrong with being a board designer as a profession, and/or being a team rider as a profession? Who really would like to buy the first board a guy has designed?
Hi derfd… thanks for watching the video. Not entirely sure of the point you’re trying to make 🤷 but the feedback from the Traverse has been fantastic across multiple years. Agree it’s very exciting that riders of the caliber, talent and background of Ewan can perfect their trades over many years and take the next step into positions such as Head Kite Designer for Naish. Make sure you try the new Pivot 2024, Ewan’s first official release on the kite side of things, and again outstanding feedback to date. If you have any videos or reviews that you’d like feedback on feel free to get in touch and we’d be happy to have a look. Best of luck for the season ahead, hope you get plenty of watertime.
@@KiteRepublicAustralia Well, I guess it just doesn´t sound as if he was convinced himself that he really designed it. Which is totalyl fine. Michael Jordan most probably also did not design the shoes named after him...
@@derfdeswoasein hope you get a chance to ride, great feedback all round. Yes if you know Ewan he’s definitely thought out and never wanting to take the limelight off those around him or take full credit for anything shared. Haha, interesting read on that one 😉 hope you enjoy your kiting derf and enjoy the board if you end up on one 👍
Duotone Unit DLab 2024 - The Benchmark of Wings right now! That' why they don't win GWA contests. However Gong Galaxy achieves it as half the price.
It’s fantastic to see such a wide variety of riders and brands pushing the sport at the very pointiest of levels. We’re in such a great space right now when it comes to wing foiling and the varying disciplines and riders of different backgrounds and sports coming through. Hopefully you’re managing to get out there on the water a bit and if you ever get the chance to write or video a review specifying the differences and your perceptions of these wings back to back were always interested to hear and hopefully learn from passionate people around the world like yourself. The feedback and testing we’ve had and done in the unit dlab 2024 has shown nothing but exceptional results, I’m sure if you’ve riddde. It you’ll agree as far as wings go it’s an amazing option for many people out there. Thanks again for your passion and for watching our review 👍
Question. Is the 11'3" Sport surfable, or touring only? Compared to say the 10'6" Ride?
The 10'6 ride is definitely more fun in the waves. It's got a bit more rocker and turns a lot better. The 11'3 will definitely catch anything from bay chop through to waves, however when you're on the wave you'll need to move a lot further back and even then won't have the same liveliness as the 10'6 Ride for example. For really small stuff you'll still have a lot of fun catching bumps on the 11'3 though.
@@KiteRepublicAustralia I have owned the 10'6" Ride for awhile now. But my wife is suggesting I look at the 11'3" Sport so that I can also help carry our soon to be 4 yo. Given her size Im not sure it will be doable on the Ride.
@@Broughden the 11'3 sport will give you a bit more glide and easier distance with your little one on the front, however both boards will allow you to paddle with a 4yo on them. I'm 85kg, I can comfortably paddle a 10'6 ride with my 6 & 8yo both on the board. We are more like a tug boat in terms of glide but very doable if your balance is ok. With one of them on there we catch little waves, can pivot turn the board and play around some more. If you're aiming to paddle with your wife (on her own board) then the 11'3 glide (& your little one on it) will definitely help you keep up with her on the 10'6 and you'll have more even paddles than if you're just adding a little one to the front of your 10'6 next to her. Both are 32" wide and have comfortable stability for this. Hope this helps :)
Hey, what size is the boardbag?
Sorry I missed this Ozii... I believe it was a 152.

Hi Lewis, are you by any chance based in or around Melbourne? We can try to get you on a couple of boards for sizing and your confidence. I'm 77 kg, 57YO.Winging for 3 years. I have the 95lt and love it, versatile and great for light wing. Easy take off. Now I'm getting better and want to go down to 75lt. SLS. or wait for new Armstrong. I will keep the 95lt for sure. Having sat that, in retrospective one year ago I would bough the 85lt, great sweet spot. I have used the Naish 85lt and love it once I'm foiling but is a bit sticky for take off.
